A hand crafted Japanese art glass bowl by Koshida Glass, made in Japan, c.1940s.
This is a beautiful statement piece in a deep red and clear cased glass, in basket form. It features controlled curves or fingers to each end with polished, footed base and rolled basket-like handle.
Koshida Glass was a Japanese glass producer that produced art glass primarily in the 1940s. They were known for their unique designs, crafted with hand-blown techniques. This centrepiece bowl is the perfect example of this beautiful craftsmanship, and a rare mid century art glass collectors piece.
In overall excellent vintage condition, one very minor chip to base (pictured).
