A beautifully ornate pair of vintage English sterling silver grape scissors, hallmarked Birmingham and made by R. E. Porter of Bournemouth.
The handles feature an elaborate fruiting vine and foliate design on both sides, with raised floral and berry details extending along the handles and around the finger loops. The blades are neatly formed with the characteristic pointed profile of grape shears.
A lovely example of mid century English silverware, combining practical tableware with highly decorative craftsmanship. Wonderful piece for the collector of fine flatware, or unique vintage entertaining pieces.
In excellent condition, hinge works with ease, unpolished.
